A couple have been accused of ‘extreme animal cruelty’ after over 100 animals were rescued from their small Miami townhouse.

Ileana Arnais and Rubin Dario Arrojo kept more than 70 dogs as well as cats, pigs, birds and a hedgehog so deprived of food and water the starving animals were forced to eat their own faeces to stay alive.

Police and rescue workers were confronted with an appalling site at the 50-year-olds’ home where they found several deformed dogs suspected to be results of cruel inter-breeding…
