The hunt is still on for the owners of a mis-treated dog that was found injured on the streets of South Tyneside.
Dog wardens were called in to collect a Staffordshire bull terrier from a home in Western Approach, South Shields, after he had been found by a member of the public.
The dog, which is between three and five years old, was emaciated and had a broken leg and a toe missing – injuries which vets say he had had for at least two weeks.
He was taken to a South Shields vet, who called the RSPCA…
