A U.S. Naval recruitment officer is accused of violently killing the family dog after a fight the man had with his wife.
Thomas J. Knowlton, 39, of 11 Morton Station Road is charged with assault and battery and animal cruelty. He was arraigned yesterday in Dudley District Court and released on personal recognizance.
