Slug Slimewave Sparks Killer Dog Disease

A slug slimewave fuelled by the record-breaking wet summer is threatening a surge in a killer dog disease, vets warned yesterday.

They are on the lookout for an increase in cases of lungworm, which is spread by slugs and snails, says  the PDSA.
Britain is being blighted by an  “epidemic of slugs and snails” which are thriving in the wet weather.

The  wettest April to June on record has provided perfect conditions for   for slugs and snails…
