Unemployed 19-year-old Sean Deakin battered and stabbed his new Staffordshire bull terrier, then left him on the kitchen floor to die in agony while he went to sign on at the Job Centre. It took 8 hours for the dog named Tyson to die an agonising death.
Deakin was later arrested after a witness to the attack called the RSPCA. He was charged, and found guilty of three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
