The Duchess and her husband have called their three-month-old dog Lupo, the Italian for wolf.
Until now, aides had refused to give out the name of the black male puppy, saying the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge regarded it as a “private” matter.
But the Duchess was happy to tell children at Rose Hill Primary School in Oxford after she was offered a toy dog to cuddle.
Abubakr Hussain, one of the pupils being given art therapy at the school by the Art Room charity, handed her the toy after hearing she had a puppy.
She said to him: “”Why don’t we call it after my dog? He’s called Lupo”…
